- At first glance, the Roche Mazet Merlot attracts the eye with its lovely intense almost dark red colour with violet tints. It is elegant on the nose with aromas of fresh and jammy red fruit, and hints of cherry and blackberry. On the palate, the red fruit aromas team up with spicy and chocolate notes, wrapped up in velvety tannins. The slightly woody Merlot fruit is round and delicate and literally fills the mouth.
